| A tailback in a fullback's body, Jacobs has the rare combination of wiggle and brute strength. He hits the hole hard, low and fast and always has his head up, which allows him to see late-developing cutback lanes and creases. Difficult to tackle even with a good fit and has excellent lower-body strength. Has really soft hands for what is essentially a big man and is dangerous on the perimeter, but still needs home-run gear--Burke Hayes |
| Biography: |
2008: Jacobs rushed for 1,577 yards on 241 carries and scored 19 touchdowns. Defensively the senior had 37 tackles, one sack and six tackles for a loss.
He was named to the AJC 5A All-State First Team as running back and the GSWA gave him honorable mention on their 5A All-State team.
2007: A versatile athlete who plays first base and the outfield in baseball, but football is his main sport.
“I missed two games my junior year. I had about 900 yards running on about 120 carries," Jacobs said.
