| A compact and physical specimen, Adams is highly effective in the first 20 yards. Has a low center of gravity and runs through arm tackles. Most defenders will stay flat-footed in order to tackle the physical Adams, and this gives him the additional leverage to make a move. Is not overly-elusive, and this is an area in which he will need to improve, but has enough wiggle to make the first person miss, and then accelerates nicely--Burke Hayes |

| D.J. (Dwayne, Jr.) Adams rushed for 1,584 yards on 251 carries scoring 14 touchdowns during his senior season. He was given Honorable Mention 5A All-State RB.
He had 204 carries for 1,462 yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior (2007) season (11-2). He also had three receptions for 96 yards and two scores, helping lead his team to an 11-2 record and the second round of the playoffs; Adams says he can bench an impressive 375 pounds, power clean 315 and squat 565. He also has a 32-inch vertical jump.
Adams reports a 2.4 core GPA and an 850 SAT, which he plans to retake.
Adams: "I have good speed and vision. I'm balanced and have good footwork. I can hit the hole hard and can break tackles well. I'm a power/speed/bruising kind of back.
"I'd like to get faster overall. I'm working to improve upon my yards after contact as well. I lift three times a week and run everyday. I think I train pretty hard and I'm always doing something."
