Three more former Georgia high school stars are selected in 2008 NFL Draft to cap off weekend.
Sunday was a life-changing day for many former Georgia high school standouts.
Former Lovejoy High and Georgia Tech running back Tashard Choice became the fourth Peach State native be selected Sunday. The 5-11, 190-pound tailback became the Dallas Cowboys' second running back selection of the draft when they pegged him with the 23rd pick of the fourth round.
Starting 12 games a senior last season in Atlanta, Choice rushed for 1,412 yards and 10 touchdowns on 261 carries. He also posted 14 receptions for 107 yards and added an 11-yard touchdown pass.
Choice was ranked by Scout.com as the 12th-best running back prospect for the draft.

Choice
Choice's teammate, Durant Brooks, was the next Georgia native to be drafted. The 6-foot, 205-pounder, who attended Tattnall Square Academy, became the first punter selected in the 2008 NFL Draft when the Washington Redskins called his name at pick No. 2 of the sixth round.

Brooks
Former Tucker High and Georgia rusher Thomas Brown was then selected not too long after Brooks when the Atlanta Falcons nabbed him with pick No. 6 of the sixth round.
Brown was ranked as the 21st-best running back prospect after rushing for 779 yards and posting 10 scores for the Bulldogs his senior season.
