Player Of The Year

Player Of The Year Player of the year finalist are: Lassiter QB Hutson Mason, Calhoun WR Da'Rick Rogers and Newnan FS Alec Ogletree. The winner is ....

Hard to believe another season has come and gone. I spent my first Friday at home since August this weekend, just in time to sit back and think about this choice. It was not a easy one, but in the end I think it was pretty clear to me.

Hutson Mason leading his team to their first ever undeafted season in school history speaks volumes. Did I mention he broke every passing record for a season in the state of Georgia history?

I want a person who wants the ball with the game on the line and Rogers wants it every play. Fellow QB Nash Nance told me " Da'Rick is always trying to get me to check off and get him the ball."

Rogers was a constant highlight film. If you are the Georgia Player of Year, you should be a threat on each play to take a game over. "Da'Freak" was a threat from the moment he stepped on the field making him the choice as..
