You never realized how hard it is to do a top 10 until you actually have to do one. The state of Georgia is loaded as it has ever been. There is some slight movement in rankings, but once again the rankings start with MLK HS Running Back Mack Brown.
.RB Mack Brown/MLK- Has the elusive speed and vision that makes him so coveted among colleges. He can make a simple 3 yd gain into a 80 TD with a great spin move. I gave him the slight nod over Ogletree because he is going to have the ball in his hands at least 30 times a game. That is a true gamebreaker touching the ball 30 times a game. I like my chances with Brown in the open field. Coming down to a Georgia/Florida battle for him it seems.
.S/LB Alec Ogletree/Newnan- A huge hard hitting Safety that has NFL written all over him. Ogletree sent Coosa Country Club in Rome, Georgia into a frenzy a week ago when he committed to the home state Bulldawgs. Some say he will be a linebacker in college and some say Safety. He is very physical and true head hunter on the field.
.OT JuWuan James/North Gwinnett- There is not enough true left tackles to go around for the all teams these days. Alabama got one in North Gwinnett OT James. He is 6'6" tall with a 6'8" wingspan at least. I don't think James is getting the "National" attention he deserves but I have seen him play in person and he is the real deal.
.DT Garrison Smith/Douglass- To have a true committable offer from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Southern Cal among others is about all you have to say about the defensive tackle. The sky is the limit for him. He is playing about 250lbs now, but give him 2 years of college and he will be a beast at 290lbs.
.WR Da' Rick Rogers/Calhoun- Recently committed to the University of Georgia over offers from all over the county. Rogers could vault himself to No 1 if he plays like he has this summer in the camp/combine season. I have seen in action many times and this past spring at the Scout.Com combine in Atlanta, he could not be covered period.
.TE Brian Vogler/Brookstone- At 6'7" this athletic TE is a red zone nightmare for teams this coming year. Vogler is going to play TE on the next level. He is going to decide soon and the final 2 are Alabama/Oklahoma.
.CB Ryan Ayers/South Paulding-Was a HUGE get for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Could make a case for the fastest player in the state. Easily the state's number one corner.
.DE Jalen Fields/Dalton- Was unblockable at the combine I watch him at this spring. Good long frame and 6'5" and has great hands to get off blocks of a larger OT. UGA commit from early this spring.
.DE TJ Stripling SW Dekalb- If Fields is not the top DE in the state then Stripling is. Just needs to add a few pounds to his frame before college. Ran a blistering time last January at the Kennedy/CES combine at 6'5". Looks to be a UGA/Florida battle as well for him.
.WR Markeith Ambles/Henry County- Biggest mystery in the state to me. He could easliy be No 1 or No 2 for me at times. At times he can not be found on the field. Ambles has offers from all over the country. With a solid season like he is capable of, he can make the biggest jump of anybody on this list.
