Freshman Preview: Creekside's Terrance Parks

The summer months are quickly rolling by and GAVSV.com continues to take a look at Class of 2008 Peach State stars that could make an impact on college football fields this fall. Next on our list is Fairburn native Terrance Parks.

The No. 22-ranked cornerback prospect for the 2008 class, Terrance Parks got an early jump on college life by graduating from Creekside High a semester early and enrolling at Florida State in time for the spring semester.

Recruitment: Nearby Auburn gave Parks a lot to think about but with his early graduation from high school, he stuck with his decision from last summer and became a Seminole. As an elite defensive-back prospect, Parks had a plethora of offers from some of the nation's top college football programs.

At Florida State: A redshirt is unlikely for Parks, who benefits from a full semester of spring practice work as he prepares for his first two-a-days as a college football player. The Seminoles have several veterans at the cornerback position but like to rotate players. Parks will have the chance to play right away on special teams and should see some burn on defense, as well. Helping matters is the fact that his 6-1, 200-pound frame is ready for the grind of Saturdays.
