Georgia Tech has gotten a commitment from 4-Star offensive guard prospect Omoregie Uzzi.
Freshman Preview: Chamblee's Omoregie Uzzi
Scout.com Director of Scouting Scott Kennedy had this to say about the 6-3, 290-pounder: "An athletic big man with a great frame to play interior line on offense or defense, Uzzi plays with great leverage and pad level. He'll need to work on getting off of blocks a little sooner so that he can square up on the ball carrier better. A terrific college prospect."
Recruitment: In the end it came down to three programs for the athletic four-star prospect: Alabama, Georgia Tech and Virginia. The Yellow Jackets eventually earned his commitment when he gave a verbal pledge to new head coach Paul Johnson in early February.
At Georgia Tech: With a new regime and new system being implemented in Atlanta, every position across the depth chart is up for grabs and Uzzi has just a good of a shot as anyone to earn immediate playing time.
