Jamal Patterson has made a name for himself when it comes to high school football recruiting in the state of Georgia. The talented Henry County wide receiver has earned offer after offer since the start if 2008 and coaches from all over the southeast have dropped into his school to meet him in person. But Patterson, who is rated as a four-star pass catcher according to Scout.com, doesn't just excel on the gridiron. As is evident from his performance this past weekend, his athletic prowess far transcends what takes place in between the hash marks. This past weekend, the 6-2 and 188-pounder won the state title in the 110-meter hurtles by running a 14.5. In terms of football, Patterson recently welcomed coaches from Clemson to Henry County High School and more are sure to stop by soon. Patterson's most recent offers include ones from Michigan, Marshall and North Carolina State. Last year as a senior Patterson caught 44 passes for 933 yards and 11 touchdowns. As a sophomore he had 28 catches, including seven touchdowns. He is also a track standout, recently setting a Henry County record in the 300 hurdles and maintains a 4.0 GPA. |
