How to get Registered: Scout Recruiting Expos Contact Information - Ahmand Tinker - 706-412-3556 or atinker@footballrecruitingexpos.com Tim Glanton - 404-429-6220 or timglanton@footballrecruitingexpos.com College football recruiting has become a 365 day a year job for college coaches that have another very important job to do, coach football. For the high school coach, the crush of colleges from around the country requesting video, contact information, evaluations, and more, can be equally overwhelming. Two coaches in the state of Georgia have decided to help ease the process for coaches at both levels by launching the inaugural Scout Recruiting Expo at two locations within the Peach State. South Paulding's Tim Glanton and Kendrick's Ahmad Tinker are bringing together hundreds of coaches from around the state to meet with college recruiters in a one stop shop for Georgia Scouting. Held in Douglasville on April 29th and Columbus on May 1st, Glanton says that he and Tinker's goal is to make the recruiting process in the state of Georgia easier for the high school and college coaches alike. "We wanted to make spring recruiting season less troublesome," said Glanton. "Recruiters come by to visit during the school day and sometimes the high school coaches have trouble spending quality time with the recruiter because of teaching responsibilities. These events allow the high school coach to have eight hours to promote their prospects with no distractions, and it also gives the college recruiter a chance to visit a 100 high schools at one location."
As a traveling coach with the Under Armour / Scout.com Combine Series the
last three years, including the last two as quarterback coach / offensive
coordinator, Glanton is particularly sensitive to time constraints placed on
coaches in the spring. Columbus, GA - Thursday May 1, 2008
