Aminu is a McDonald's All-American

Posted Feb 20, 2008

Wake Forest commitment and Norcross High star Al-Farouq will display his skills March 26.

Al-Farouq Aminu will get to show the country just how talented he is next month.

The Norcross High basketball star, who has been on a tear this season, has been selected to play in the McDonald's All-American game - a contest that features the best prep talent each year.

Former players in the event include Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, Michael Jordan, Daniel Gibson and Kevin Garnett.

The 6-foot-8 and 210-pound forward has had a stellar senior season and thus was rewarded with a chance to give a national glimpse at the type of player that Wake Forest has signed.

The game be played at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will be aired on ESPN.
