Former Coffee High Star Mizell Commits to FSU
Columbus Mizell

Posted Feb 20, 2008

C.J. Mizell was considered one of the best linebacker prospects in Georgia before moving to Florida.

C.J. Mizell has committed to play college football at Florida State.

The Tallahassee (FL) Leon High linebacker used to play for Coffee High before moving from Douglas to the Sunshine State.

"I've been waiting," Mizell said. "I just felt like it was time."

The 6-foot-2 and 215-pound linebacker made a name for himself as a sophomore at Coffee High, racking up tackles and running down offensive players with an ease that generated interest from some of the top programs in the southeast.

Florida, Georgia and South Carolina were just some of the schools that offered scholarships.
