Eagles capture the 4A state crown while Emanuel County Institute grabs 1A championship.

Northside-Warner Robins and Emanuel County Institute won the first two of five state titles on the line in this year's playoffs Friday night.

The Eagles finished 15-0 for the second straight season en route to back-to-back titles. Northside-Warner Robins defeated Ware County 20-14 to achieve that honor.

"It's great, I just praise God for letting us do this," Northside-Warner Robins coach Conrad Nix said, moments after being doused with water. "I just appreciate everyone and all the support we get."

The Bulldogs' victory over Wilcox County wasn't nearly as close. ECI ran away with the game and won 41-12.

Like Northside-Warner Robins, they, too, were perfect in 2007.
