Marist High Standout Nabs Offer No. 1

According to Scout.com's Miller Safrit, Derek Hayden has been offered by in-state Georgia Southern.

One star defensive back/ wide receiver Derek Hayden has received his first football scholarship offer according to Scout.com's Miller Safrit.

The 6-foot, 170-pound two-way player had been receiving interest from Georgia Southern and finally had an offer extended his way.

Hayden projects as a defensive back at the college level and runs a 4.6 forty-yard dash.

Hayden helped lead Marist to an 8-3 overall record this season.
