Georgia's Top Performers: Week 2

Northside QB Marques Ivory completed 13 of 20 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 34-7 win over rival Warner Robins last Friday night. GAVSV takes a look at some of the Peach State's top performers from week two.

Tyler Adetona, WR, Gainesville - had 6 catches for 96 yards and a touchdown in 21-19 win over White County.

Aldreakis Allen, RB, Madison County - rushed six times for 67 yards and two touchdowns.  He also had five receptions for 180 yards and three scores in 49-7 win over Elbert County.

Adrian Alexander, RB, Southwest  - had 27 carries for 195 yards and two touchdowns in 24-19 loss to Crisp County.

Terry Ashley, RB, Irwin County - had 246 yards rushing and three touchdowns in 26-6 win over Lanier County.

Spencer Baird, QB, Madison County - alscompleted 19 of 26 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns.

Nick Bass, WR, Northside - caught four passes for 121 yards in 34-7 win over Warner Robins.

Collin Bing, RB, Glenn Hills -  ran for two touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass. He had 120 yards rushing and receiving in a 28-13 win over Hephzibah.

Mike Bloodser, QB, Lamar County -  completed 7 of 17 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown in 40-12 loss to Mary Persons.

Robert Boccolucci, K, GAC - kicked field goals of 42 and 32 yards in Spartans' 20-7 victory over Greene County.

James Bonner, FB, - ran for 163 rushing yards and three touchdowns and also had 30 receiving yards in  34-6 victory over Washington-Wilkes.

Tanner Bryant, QB, Landmark Christian - 8  of 14 for 235 yards and five touchdowns in 56 to 28 win over Ola.

Julian Burnette, Westside-Macon - had 17 tackles in 32-0 win over Peach county.

Earnest Butts, RB, Twiggs County - had 10 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown (71 yards) in 52-20 loss to Dublin.

David Carter, RB, Sprayberry - ran for 118 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown in 34-28 loss to Alpharetta.

Jonathan Carter, RB, St. Pius - ran for three touchdowns in 43-7 win over Stone Mountain.

Caleb Collins, RB, Benedictine - ran for 118 yard and a touchdown on 18 carries in 24-6 loss to Jenkins.

Alex Conley, QB, Telfair County - completed 14 of 31 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns in 21-20 loss to Jeff Davis.

Zac Crosby, RB, Jefferson - finished with 85 rushing yards and two touchdown runs in 34-7 win over Oglethorpe County.

Ryan Culbreath, WR, Rockdale - had 108 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions in a 21-14 loss to Starr's Mill.

Alex Daniel, RB, Roswell - carried 11 times for 117 yards and three touchdowns in 38-7 win over Lassiter.

Edward Davis, QB, Stone Mountain - completed 13 of 17 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown in a 43-7 loss to St. Pius.

Terence Davis, QB, Brookwood - ran for a 44-yard touchdown and finished with 92 rushing yards, 67 passing.

Lorenzo Dennard, QB, Wilcox county - was 8 for 13 for 183 yards and four touchdowns to 4 different receivers in 41-13 win over Wilkinson county.

Jeremy Dobbins, RB, South Gwinnett - rushed for five touchdowns and 146 yards in 35-7 win over Heritage.

Jimmy Eden, WR, Landmark Christian - had  5 receptions for 131 yards and three touchdowns in first half of 56-28 win over Ola.

Josh Edmunds, QB, Westside-Augusta -  completed 11 of 16 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns in 29-27 win over Richmond Academy.  It was his first varsity start at quarterback in place of the injured Sanders Commings.

Eric Eitson, WR, Cross Creek -  had six catches for 153 yards and returned an interception for a touchdown in 36-6 win over Aquinas.

Garrett Embry, WR, Roswell - has 2 receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown in 38-7 win over Lassiter.

David Firth, QB, North Oconee - completed 11 of 17 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns to beat Banks County 26-14.

Gerald Ford, WR, Gainesville - had 9 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown in 21-19 win over White County.

Kelsea Fordham, RB, Dublin - ran 10 times for 113 yards and also had a 35 yard touchdown reception in 52-20 win over Twiggs County.

Dontavais Gibson, RB, Glascock County - rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns on 17 attempts. He also caught one pass for 21 yards and another touchdown in 48-7 win over Georgia Military.

Ronnie Gillyard, QB, Glascock County - was 5 for 7 for 107 yards and three touchdowns.

Charles Gordon, QB, Dodge County - carried 10 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns.  Gordon also had a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown in 45-6 win over Hawkinsville.

, RB, Jenkins - had 183 yards and three touchdowns in 24-6 win over Benedictine.

Tijuan Green, RB, Northside - caught five passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns in 34-7 victory over Warner Robins.

Keenan Grissett, QB, Cross Creek - completed 12 of 18 passes for 202 yards in 36-6 win over Aquinas.

Demery Hawkins, RB, Toombs County - rushed for 156 yards on seven carries and scored a touchdown in 53-6 win over Metter.

Casey Hayward, QB, Perry - carried 14 times for 189 yards and a touchdown (79 yards). He also threw for 53 yards and a touchdown in 34-33 loss to Dougherty.

Jeremy Height, RB, McIntosh County Academy - scored four touchdowns and ran for 190 yards in 42-0 win over Calvary Day.

Kaream Hess, RB, Tift County - ran for 110 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries in 23-0 win over South Forsyth.

Tyler Hill, RB, Jefferson - had 88 yards rushing and two touchdowns in 34-7 win over Oglethorpe County.

Forest Holt, QB, Sprayberry - carried the ball 25 times for 166 yards rushing and two touchdowns in 34-28 loss to Alpharetta.

Cameron Hudson, Dalton - had a 97 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in 31-7 win over Murray County.

Chris Hunter, RB, Westside-Augusta - carried 24 times for 105 yards and a touchdown in 29-27 win over Richmond Academy.

Cody Hutchins, K, George Walton - was 5-for-5 on extra points and added a 46-yard field goal in 38-18 win over Stratford Academy.

Marques Ivory, QB, Northside - completed 13 of 20 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown in 34-7 win over Warner Robins.

Chris Jackson, WR, Henry County - had 237 yards receiving in 51 43 win over Jones County.

Tyler Jarry, RB, North Gwinnett -  had 102 yards rushing and receiving including a 2-yard touchdown run in 22-21 win over Brookwood.

Anthony Jenkins, DB, Glenn Hills - took the game's opening kickoff and went up the middle for an 83-yard touchdown return in 28-13 win over Hephzibah.

Stanley Jennings, QB, Marietta - completed eight of 12 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns in 42-9 win over Kell.

Devon Jones, RB, Kennesaw Mountain - had 22 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns in a 15-14 loss to Walton.

Freddie Jones, Greenbrier - had 96 rushing yards and three touchdown runs of 3, 13, and 38 yards in 19-6 win over Lakeside.

Isiah Jupiter, WR, Berkmar - had two touchdown receptions (19 and 57 yards) in 45-6 win over North Forsyth.

Perry King, Valdosta - returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown in 31-0 win over Collins Hill.

Walter Lenard, RB, Landmark Christian - 15 carries for 170 yards and two touchdowns in first half of 56-28 win over Ola.

William Leslie, QB, Greene County - completed 21 of 35 passes for 253 yards, a touchdown in 20-7 loss to Greater Atlanta Christian.

Devin Lewis, Carver-Columbus - returned a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown in Tigers 29-7 victory against Shaw.

Drew Little, QB, Henry - had 303 yards passing with four touchdowns and one rushing in 51-43 win over Jones County.

Ethan Martin, QB, Stephens County - completed 10 of 18 passes for 212 yards in 31-28 victory over Habersham Central.

Brett Mason, QB Putnam County - completed 14 of 23 passes for 154 yards in 28-7 loss to Jasper County.

Derrick Mathis, RB, Thomas Jefferson - rushed for 232 and three touchdowns in 48-7 win over Memorial Day.

Trent McGuire, QB, Cedar Shoals - had 171 yards and ran for two touchdowns in 27-14 victory over Clarke Central.

Orrin McFadden, QB, Westside-Macon -  completed 7 of 15 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns to beat Peach County 32-0.

Marcus McNair, RB, Valdosta - rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns in 31-0 win over Collins Hill.

Mac McKnight, QB, East Coweta - completed 8 of 11 passing for 78 yards and two touchdowns in 20-10 win over McIntosh.

Michael Metz, QB, Pinecrest - set a single game school passing record when he was 17 of 25 for 321 yards and three touchdowns.  He also had 12 carries for 87 yards and one touchdown in loss to Flint River Academy. 

Kenny Miles, RB, Brookwood - ran for 218 yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yard score on the Broncos' first play in 22-21 loss to North Gwinnett.

Tom Moak, QB, Westminster - completed 4 of 8 passes for 129 yards and four touchdowns to lead Westminster to a 35-7 win over Washington County.

Cole Moon, RB, St. Pius - rushed 16 times for 158 yards in the Golden Lions' 43-7 win over Stone Mountain.

Jay Moon, RB, Franklin County - totaled 116 yards on 14 carries and scored four touchdowns as the Lions beat Commerce 33-14

Ivey Mutcherson, RB, Bryan County - carried the ball 20 times for 327 yards and three touchdowns.  He also returned 5 kickoffs for 92 yards in a 41-40 loss to Long County.

Tom Oglesby, RB, Thomas Jefferson - had 94 yards rushing and scored on touchdown runs of 2 and 5 yards in 48-7 win over Memorial Day.

Spencer Penson, RB,  Starr's Mill - ran for 138 yards on 19 carries including 28-yard touchdown in 21-14 win over Rockdale County.

Darriet Perry, RB, Lowndes - had 85 rushing yards and two touchdowns on eight carries in 42-0 win over Eagle's Landing.

Senorise Perry, Chattooga - had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in 31-7 win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

Tauren Poole, RB, Stephens County - scored three touchdowns (2, 7, and 3 yards) in 31-28 win over Habersham Central.

Bryan Presume, North Cobb - 11 tackles, 1 caused fumble, 1 recovered fumble in 35-7 win over South Cobb.

Nick Prostko, QB, Tift County - completed seven of 14 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in Blue Devils' 23-0 win over South Forsyth.

Patrick Province, RB, Cross Creek - gained 150 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns on runs of 16, 11 and 67 yards in 36-6 win over Aquinas.

Justin Ray, QB, Eastside - passed for two touchdowns and rushed for 100 yards on 11 carries.

Matt Roark, QB, North Cobb - completed 8 of 11 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for two touchdowns in a 35-7 win over South Cobb.

Jake Robertson, QB, Jones County - threw 12 of 25 for 126 yards and two scores in 51-43 loss to Henry County.

Matt Robinson, QB, Alpharetta - finished 10-for-17 with 166 yards and three touchdowns in 34-28 win over Sprayberry.

Richard Samuel, RB, Cass - had 12 carries for 199 yards and three touchdowns and 
2 receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown in 42-0 win over Adairsville.

Kenny Seabolt, QB, South Gwinnett - had 176 passing yards and three touchdowns in 35-7 win over Heritage.

Cody Shiver, RB, Bleckley County - ran 14 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns in 34-0 win over Jenkins County.

Juan Singhavong, RB, Haralson County  - had 61 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and 60 yards recieving. He also kicked 2 PATs and a 25-yard FG in a 31-13 win over Bowden.

Darius Slay, RB, Brunswick -  rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries in 48-7 win over Groves.

TJ Smith, QB, Berkmar - completed 10 of 11 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns in 45-6 win over North Forsyth.

Wesley Smith, WR, Brunswick - accounted for 167 total yards.  He had two receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-7 win over Groves.

Cameron Stallings, WR, Laney - had 3 receptions for 78 yards including a 19 yard catch for a touchdown in 13-7 win over Strom Thurmond.

Jake Stephenson, RB, Johnson County - rushed 11 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns in 12-0 win over Claxton.

Seth Stroud, QB, Toombs County - competed 3 of 7 passes for 35 yards and three touchdowns in 53-6 win over Metter.

Matt Sweat, QB, Starr's Mill - went 11-for-17 for 88 yards and two touchdowns to beat Rockdale County 21-14.

Dustin Taliaferro, QB, Roswell - went 4 of 4 passing for 115 yards and a touchdown in 38-7 win over Lassiter. 

Mikey Tamburo, QB, North Gwinnett - completed 15 of 25 passes for 120 yards, and he ran for 57 more.

Chris Tanzy, Marietta - returned a fumble 71-yards for a touchdown in 42-9 win over Kell.

Jacquise Terry, RB, Pacelli - rushed for 184 yards on 16 carries, including a 75-yard touchdown. He also had three catches for 59 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown in 42-6 win over Manchester.

Anthony Thompson, RB, Berkmar - ran for 105 yards and a touchdown on seven carries in 45-6 win over North Forsyth.

Ashton Thompson, RB, Johnson County - ran 12 times for 125 yards in 12-0 win over Claxton.

Matt Thornton,  WR, Landmark Christian - had 4 receptions for  111 yards and two touchdowns in first half of 56-28 win over Ola.

Steven Timmons, WR, Westside-Augusta - had 5 catches for 102 yards in 29-27 win over Richmond Academy.

Felton Walls, QB, Dougherty - completed 13 of 19 for 260 yards and three touchdowns in 34-33 win over Perry.

Marquize Warren, QB, Rockdale - completed 13-for-21 for 179 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-14 loss to Starr's Mill.

Kacey Webb, QB, Banneker - threw a touchdown pass (13 yards) and ran for scores of 2 and 13 yards in 41-0 win over Tri-cities
 
Michael White, Miller Grove - scored on a 28-yard interception in the fourth quarter for the games' only score to beat Washington 6-0.

Willie Whitfield, RB, Alpharetta - scored on a 90-yard kickoff return in 34-28 win over Sprayberry.

Stuart Wilkerson, QB, Pacelli - completed 14 of 17 for 188 yards and three touchdowns 42-6 win over Manchester.

Andrew Williams, QB, George Walton -  completed 15 of 23 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns in 38-18 win over Stratford Academy.

Marcus Wilson, RB, Westside-Macon - rushed for 121 yards on 16 carries and one touchdown in 32-0 win over Peach county.

Leon Wornum, RB, Crawford County - had 6 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown in 54-0 win over Pelham.

Muluchi Youngblood, RB, Putnam County - rushed for 132 yards in 28-7 loss to Jasper County.

   

 Top Performances by a Team.

• The Southwest DeKalb defense of Naim Wakeel, Sherrod Golightly, Brandon James and Quentin Upsher each returned a fumble for a touchdown for the Panthers. They recovered six fumbles in all.  Jerrold Hatchett, Fred Byers and Kendrum Malcolm each rushed for more than 100 yards, including a 68-yard scoring run for Byers to beat North Springs 68-0.

• The Norcross defense held Northview QB Justin Tuggle, to only 43 yards passing and 59 team rushing yards on 26 carries for a 35-7.

• The Brookstone running backs combined for four touchdowns and 301 yards on 44 carries in 31-6 win over Eagle's Landing Christian.

• Eastside defense held Loganville to only 85 yards of total offense for a 21-0 victory and their second straight shutout.

• Chattahoochee defeated No. 7-ranked Camden County 17-16 in overtime to end Camden's 66-game home winning streak against Georgia teams in regular season.

• Cairo tied Thomasville at 14-14 on a quarterback sneak with 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter and rallied for the 20-14 victory with a touchdown in the second overtime.

• Walton's Billy Burns caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Ray Rayburn with 25 seconds left to beat Kennesaw Mountain 15-14 in a dramatic comeback win for the Raiders.

• No. 1-ranked Northside had 443 yards of total offense and the Eagles' defense held Warner Robins to only 88 yards of offense in 34-7 win.

• Thomas county central Coach Ed Pilcher won his 200th game as the Yellow Jackets defense held Colquitt County to 138 yards in 42-7 win.

• The Cook defense limited the Worth County running game to 21 yards on 33 carries in a 43-19 victory for the Hornets.

• The Brunswick defense held Groves to 15 yards rushing on 40 carries for a 48-7 win.

• Lowndes' defense held Eagle's Landing to just 28 yards of total offense for a 42-0 victory.

• A last-second FG attempt by Jackson County fell short of the Wildcats end zone and was scooped up by Apalachee's Qucraven Ash, who ran the ball 95 yards with no time left on the clock to give his team the win.

• The Salem defense held Morgan County to only 84 yards of total offense for a 28-0 win.
