At 6-foot-2, 208-pounds, Garrett Embry is currently holding offers from Akron, Central Florida, Air Force, Middle Tennessee, Miami (OH), Baylor, and his latest is from Oregon. With seven scholarship offers to his credit, three schools are currently at the top of Embry's list. "Oregon, Baylor and Georgia Tech are my top three right now," said Embry. The Yellow Jackets are the only favorite which hasn't offered. "Georgia Tech hasn’t offered me yet, but they are very interested," said Embry. "They're waiting to see my latest grade scores from summer school. That's what they said they needed, so we'll see." When we caught up with Embry, he had just returned from camping at the University of Alabama. "It went really well," Embry said. "I had a pretty good combine. My 40-time was a little shaky, but I did that after I had already went through the drills, one-on-ones and seven-on sevens. I'm okay with that, so I think everything went pretty good." As a junior, Embry caught 15 passes for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns He is also a standout defensive back posting 30 tackles, 3 interceptions and 10 knock-downs helping his team to the 2006 state AAAAA championship.
