Peachtree Ridge cornerback Brandon Sanders committed to the Ole Miss
Rebels on Saturday. He had offers from Middle Tennessee State,
Buffalo, Ball State and Liberty. Sanders was also being recruited
heavily by Auburn, North Carolina State, and Indiana.
"These last couple of weeks, I've been really thinking about it and praying
about it," said Sanders. "Ole Miss wasn't my only offer. I had other offers, so
I had to think about where I wanted to move and what would be the best
situation for me. I've just been praying about it and I felt like God was
telling me Ole Miss."
Yesterday, Sanders and his Dad traveled to Cleveland, Tenn. to pick up his
brother who attends Lee University. It was on this trip that he
decided to go ahead and commit to Ole Miss.
"I really feel like that was the best decision for me," Sanders said. "Me and
my dad had a long talk about it and we just decided to go ahead and
pull the trigger."
When asked about what stood out the most about the Rebels, Sanders responded
"I really like the coaching staff, especially coach Hugh Freeze," he
said. "He seems to be real genuine. I basically talk to him just about
everyday. He contacts me almost everyday and he's always checking on
me. He wants to see how everything is going. Everyday he's asking me
if I want to be a Rebel."
"I text him yesterday. I told him 'Coach I want to be a Rebel.'
He told me to call him ASAP. I called him and he was really excited.
He was real happy to hear that."
Sanders said his pledge to Ole Miss is very solid. With his recruiting
process behind him, he can concentrate on his upcoming season and a

September. He became the second Peach State prospect to commit
to Ole Miss in 2007. Mays linebacker/defensive end prospect Bernard Smith committed to the Rebels back in February.
