Demps decided to take his show on the road last week and visited three schools showing him interest.
"I visited Maryland, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech," said the 5-foot-9.5, 172-pounder.
Demps talked about his visits.
Maryland - "It went good. I really liked it. I liked the stadium and the campus. They new I was coming, so I got to talk to the coaches and they showed me around. I got to see the football locker room and all that."
Virginia Tech - "Virginia Tech is nice. Their campus is way different from others. Coach Torrian Gray (defensive backs) showed me around. He showed me the campus, lunch room and the dorm. I really like their football program and the facility was nice. They want me to come back to their camp so they can see me perform. They said they would stay in touch."
Georgia Tech - "I was there with Brandon Davis. We both really liked it. The weight room was nice. The coaching staff was nice. Coach Charles Kelley told me what I needed to do. He said they were going to keep an eye on me."
Demps will be playing at safety after transferring from North Gwinnett to his new school, Peachtree Ridge. He plans on proving to college recruiters that he has more to offer than just speed.
"I mean all the coaches say that," Demps said. "Coach Kelley said Saturday that he already knew that I could run. He just wants me to come down for their camp so everybody else can see how I perform."
"I know I'm going to have to prove that I can do it on the field. I'm working out after school everyday and training hard to get ready for next season."
Demps will continue his road tour this week making stops at Tennessee tomorrow and South Carolina on Friday.
Five schools are currently among his list of favorites.
"I like Auburn, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Florida," he said.
