The Recruiting process has really picked up for Flowery Branch quarterback
Jaybo Shaw.
"I'm getting a lot more hand written letters and text messages," said Jaybo
Shaw. "South Carolina, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Clemson,
Princeton and Vanderbilt are staying in touch with me."
He's still waiting for his first offer, but a couple of programs appear to be
very close.
"Wake Forest and Ole Miss are the two school recruiting me the hardest right
now," he said. "I feel like they might be very close to offering me. Ole Miss
invited me to their spring game. They said they were real excited about me
coming up."
"But Wake Forest is probably still number one recruiting me. They're
probably my number one interest right now. I'm going up there April 19th
and they have been in constant contact with me and my Dad."
Shaw has already visited several schools including South Carolina on March
3rd.
"I went up to South Carolina a couple of weeks ago," said Shaw. "I
really liked it up there. When I got up there, my recruiting
coordinator, Coach Shane Beamer showed us around and he knew who I was."
"That was kinda weird because my Dad hadn't sent any film up there.
They said they were really interested and they came to one of our games last season. They said they were interested in me more as a athlete than at
quarterback."
Shaw finished his junior season with 1,500 yards rushing and over
2,750 passing yards. He threw for 27 touchdowns and rushed
for 20 more. He is being recruited by most as an athlete that
is capable of playing multiple positions at the next level.
He will be visiting Florida State for their junior day on March
24th, Ole Miss spring game on April 7th and Wake Forest junior day on April 19th. Stay tuned to GAVSV.com for more updates on Flowery
Branch athlete Jaybo Shaw.
