Fairburn, Ga - Creekside offensive lineman Kevious Watkins committed to UAB after visiting the C-USA school. talked to Creekside Head Football Coach Kevin Whitley about the 6-foot-4, 340-pound prospect's commitment.

"Kevious Watkins did commit to UAB," said Coach Whitley. "I know he's very excited.  He went on an official visit.  He got to meet Coach Callaway, Coach Davenport and Coach Barlow."

Early playing time was a big factor in Watkins' decision to play for UAB.

"He said he just really liked everything that he saw up there. He felt like with a different coach there, UAB would kinda give him a deceit shot at possibly playing early."

"The Blazers are getting a good one in Kevious.  I know that he'll do a good job for Coach Callaway just like he did for us here at Creekside."
