Marist Blanking East Paulding at the Half
A fullback dive by Preston Lyons brought the War Eagles into field position and senior kicker Collin Gallagher split the uprights with 7:30 left in the half to up Marist's lead to 10-0.
Marist and East Paulding traded punts with Chas Henry of East Paulding and Scout.com's #1 ranked punter, getting off a 53 yarder out of his own endzone.
Marshall led Marist down the field though with time running out in the half including a 15 yard run that brought the War Eagles to first and goal at the East Paulding five with 23 seconds on the clock.
Sophomore Zack Gonosz for East Paulding made a huge sack, driving Marshall back to the 15 yardline. It was second down, but more importantly, there were only 14 seconds left in the half.
A dropped pass on second down led to another Gallagher field goal pushing the lead to 13-0 with four seconds left in the half.
