Atlanta Sleeper has 1st SEC Offer
Grady High School Helmet - South
Posted Dec 16, 2005

Brandon Thurman plays defensive end for a surprising Grady team that went to the State Semi-Finals in Georgia this year. He caught my eye immediately in the game, because it's not often you see a #76 chasing running backs 50 yards down field.

He has caught the eye of several schools as well, including one SEC offer.

"Kentucky has offered him a scholarship," said Grady Head Coach Larry Millen. "He's 6-2 and 195 pounds right now. He had at least 20 sacks this year. He's being recruited to play linebacker."

Brandon Thurman has some outstanding achievements on and off the field as well.

"He's a 3 point plus student, and he's already scored over a 1,000 on his SAT. He's also the 300 meter hurdles champion in our region. Akron, Mississippi State, Tulane, and Marshall have been asking about him as well."

Coaches are always looking for players slipping through the cracks this time of year, and they might be wise to stop in and see Coach Millen at Grady about his star defensive end.
