Roswell RB off to a Fast Start

Randell Bell

Randell Bell is an exciting running back prospect from Roswell High School that has helped get his team off to a 2-0 start. In his first game against Centennial, the Knights stacked the line, but Bell was still able to get 57 yards and a touchdown while the Hornets went to the air. Last week against Kell, Bell had 145 yards on 30 carries with a touchdown.

Randell Bell looks very similar in running style, size, and ability to Class of 2005 standouts Tony Wright of Peach County and T.J. Pitts of North Hall. Bell has excellent balance and vision, and he isn't afraid to lower his shoulder and deliver a blow. Schools will be keeping a close eye on Bell and his progress on the field and in the classroom.

"I wasn't able to get any camps this summer, because I was in Summer School to work on my GPA," said Randell Bell. "I've been calling coaches at Georgia, Southern Miss, and Auburn this summer though. Southern Miss, Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, and Ball State have been sending me handwritten letters."

Bell claims a Georgia offer, and he talks about his favorite teams.

"The schools I like right now are Tennessee, Georgia, Southern Miss, Oregon, and Florida. I grew up a Tennessee fan. Georgia is my only offer, and my mom wants me to go there. I like talking with Coach Johnson at Southern Miss. Believe it or not, I just like the uniforms at Oregon. At Florida, I like Coach Meyer's offensive scheme."

Bell has done a good job of self scouting.

"I try to compare my game to Clinton Portis. He can be elusive, and he can lower his shoulder to get that extra yard."
