We were at Sandy Creek to capture the Sandy Creek Passing League in a series of Photos.
Sandy Creek Hosted a passing league competition on Saturday July 19th, we were there to bring you images and updates.
A.J. Bryant
led his Peach County team. Bryant in particular has had a busy summer, the
Georgia
commitment went to the Elite 11 camp in California last week after the passing camp. Photo - Chris Collins
The State's top wide receiver this year is
Calvin Johnson
. Johnson stands at 6-5 and 211 pounds, and can run and catch like a seasoned NFL pro. A lot of receivers need a redshirt year to get ready for college ball, but you can see for yourself, that Johnson is ready to go THIS year. Photo - Chris Collins
Demiko Goodman
of Newnan may have something to say about who the top receiver is in the state. The reigning 400 meter champion, Goodman can run like a deer, and he has excellent size. His upside is outstanding. Photo - Chris Collins
The scary thing about Newnan, is that as good as Goodman is, he may not be the best pure receiver on the team right now.
Derrell Steagall
is coming off of a knee injury, but he showed at Sandy Creek, that he is more than ready to play. He ran good routes and caught everything near him. Photo - Chris Collins
Thinking of double teaming Calvin Johnson?
Will Judson
will make you pay. Judson does not have Johnson's size, but he has run 3 consecutive hand timed 4.28's on three different surfaces this summer. Once he gets the ball in his hands he is electric. Photo - Chris Collins
Ramarcus Brown
of Tri-Cities was one of the most impressive athletes on the field. He plays running back for Coach Dendy, but he will likely be a wide receiver on the next level. Photo - Chris Collins
A.J. Bryant of Peach County drops back to pass during warmups. Bryant has gotten considerably bigger and stronger this summer, and his arm shows it. He was a good quarterback last season, he is a GREAT quarterback now. Photo - Chris Collins
We will have more pictures from the Passing Camp this week, including several shots of the players in action. Stay Tuned.
Chris Collins is a photographer local to the Metro Atlanta area that works with TheInsiders.com.
