First SEC offer in for Samuel

First SEC offer in for Samuel

Kentucky got on the phone with a talented defensive end out of the southeast Monday night and they became the first SEC school to offer him.

"Coach [Bradley Dale] Peveto messaged me on twitter to call him, so i did, and he told me that I have an offer from Kentucky," Caleb Samuel told Scout Monday evening.

"He told me that he likes the way I play, that he likes my motor, that he likes how I go 100-percent all of the time, and that he needs more guys like me up at Kentucky."

The UK offer is Samuel's third offer, first from an SEC school. The other two are Massachusetts and Temple.

The 6-foot-5, 245 pound defensive end out of Macon (Ga.) Stratford Academy does not know a lot about the Wildcats yet, but that should change soon.

"I am about to know something about them now that they offered me. I will start researching them immediately and I will definitely take a visit up there soon too."

He will trip to Chapel Hill this weekend to check out North Carolina.

Samuel does not have a leader at this time.
