Juwon is looking for his first offer but schools like Tech, Georgia, and Florida are beginning to show him interest. "Those schools have been by my school lately and are the three that are recruiting me the hardest at this time."
Florida is looking at Young as an outside rush player and Georgia likes him as an outside linebacker. "Georgia Tech has said that I can be considered either as an inside or outside linebacker."
Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Oregon, and Tennessee are some of the other schools showing interest in Young. He has had a chance to visit Georgia Tech, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia. "I was just up in Atlanta and was able to see and talk to the coaches at Georgia Tech while I was up there." Young was impressed with the facilities.
While he was at Tech, Young had a chance to talk with Coach Andy McCollum; his recruiting coach. "He said he liked my style of play and would love for me to be a part of the team they have in Atlanta."
Young is also planning some additional visits. "I know I will be going to Georgia on February 16th for their Junior day and I need to talk with Coach Young at Florida about setting up a Junior Day visit there." Juwon will also be talking to the coaches at Georgia Tech about coming up there for their Junior Day."
Juwon has been keeping in touch with current Tech player Bryan Chamberlain. Like Young, Chamberlain is from Albany. "He tells me to keep up the hard work and stay strong on the field and in school and my recruiting will take care of itself."
The coaches, facilities, current players, and the campus will be a few of the things Young will be looking at in making his decision. Juwon is not looking to drag out his recruitment. "I feel that when offers start rolling in and I have visited the school that feels like it is the one for me, I will go ahead and announce."
